Traxim Unplugged supports following operating systems:

Obtaining
a Demo License from reVision
SGI IRIX:
1. Find what version of IRIX you are currently using. In Unix shell type:
uname -R <Enter>2. Obtain your system ID.
If IRIX version is 6.5 or later:3. Go to the Traxim website download request page and fill out the download request form. Copy the number obtained in the previous step into "System ID" space.
sysinfo -s <Enter>
If IRIX version is prior to 6.5:
sysinfo <Enter>
1. Download the system ID utility by clicking on the following link:2. Unzip this file using WinZip, or any other .ZIP compatible compression utility. Two files will be extracted: ECHOID.EXE and ECHOID.DAT.
3. Run (double-click) ECHOID.EXE. A pop-up window will appear with a lock code.
4. Go to the Traxim website download request page and fill out the download request form. Copy the number obtained in the previous step into "System ID" space.
Installation
from reVision download
You will be instructed on how to download Traxim Unplugged in the email response which contains your license. The following instructions will also appear in the email response.
SGI IRIX :
1. Save the downloaded file Traxim.tgz in any directory, say in /usr directory on your machine.2. In Unix shell type:
cd /usr <Enter>
gunzip Traxim.tgz <Enter>
tar -xvf Traxim.tar <Enter>
cd reVision <Enter>
jot lservrc <Enter>
3. Copy and paste your license key obtained from reVision into lservrc as a single line of text.
4. Save lservrc.
Now you are ready to run traxim. If you wish to use the demo clip illustrated in the tutorial download it from the Discreet page on our website and save it in /usr/discreet/sparks/reVision/demo directory. In Unix shell type:
cd /usr/discreet/sparks/reVision/demo <Enter>
gunzip DemoClip.tgz <Enter>
tar -xvf DemoClip.tar <Enter>

cd /usr/local/traxim <Enter>
gunzip Traxim.tgz <Enter>
tar -xvf Traxim.tar <Enter>
cd reVision <Enter>
vi lservrc <Enter>
3. Copy and paste your license key obtained from reVision into lservrc as a single line of text.
4. Save lservrc.

1. Save the downloaded file traximpre.zip in any directory, say in c:\traxim directory on your machine.2. Use WinZip to uncompress the file.
3. Copy and paste your license key obtained from reVision into lservrc as a single line of text. You can use Microsoft Wordpad to create this file, but make sure that it is saved without an extension. In other words, the file must be named 'lservrc' and not, for example, 'lservrc.txt'.
4. Install Sentinel License Drivers from the file sentinel.zip. Uncompress this file into a temporary folder of your choice and run 'setup' from within this folder. This will install the driver which will allow the license to work on your machine.
5. Now you are ready to run traxim. You can do so by opening the 'traxim' folder and double-clicking on 'traxim.exe'.If you wish to use the demo clip illustrated in the tutorial you can download a .ZIP compressed version of it from the following link:
Use WinZip to uncompress this file into a folder of your choice, or even to your 'traxim' folder.
Installation from reVision CD-ROM

1. Insert Traxim CD ROM into CD ROM drive.
2. Mount CD ROM if necessary.
3. In Unix shell type:
cp /CDROM/* /usr/discreet/sparks <Enter>
cd /usr/discreet/sparks <Enter>
gunzip Traxim.tgz <Enter>
tar -xvf Traxim.tar <Enter>
jot /usr/discreet/sparks/reVision/lservrc <Enter>
4. Copy and paste your license key obtained from reVision into lservrc as a single line of text.
