Q: I ran Spark Traxim yesterday successfully. Today I tried to run it again and it responded: "Unable to obtain the license key" even though my license key neither has been changed nor expired. What happened?
A: Your Discreet application (Inferno, Flame, etc.) has most likely crashed after the Spark had been loaded. The entire application had been terminated abnormally. As a result, the license server has not had a chance to release the authorization given earlier to the spark. The remedy: reload the Spark
Q: Does Traxim create files in any directories different from it's installation directory?
A: No. Traxim resides in a single directory named reVision. All files it requires or creates are either in reVision or in reVision subdirectories. The only exception is Traxim (Spark or Unplugged) running on SGI IRIX prior to 6.5: it needs 1 additional directory /usr/local/revision/licenses with a single license file named traxim_license.dat.
